A Organização

Recreational settings play an important role in the life of cities and young people but are often tightly connected with the disruption of healthy lifestyles and the association with a multiplicity of risk factors in several areas (sexuality, violence, alcohol and other substances, traffic accidents), the consequences of which undermine the health and wellbeing of citizens.

The way we look or perceive "our" city as living space, sharing leisure, work or security depends on how much we know, how we live and our active is our involvement in creating ties in the community. To contribute to the prevention of problems related to recreational settings and night clubbing, the Mental Health and Psychiatric Department, the Centre for Prevention and Treatment of Psychogenic Trauma (CPTTP) and the European Institute for the Study of Risk Factors (Irefrea - Portugal) decided to organize the International Forum “Healthy Nightlife of cities”. The event counts with the presence of national and international experts and institutions and researchers in this area.

We count on the attendance on the 4th, 5th and 6th of May, in the Main Auditorium of Coimbra Hospital and University Center. Together we can help finding solutions and strategies for the future.
